Some of the body language signs are:

  • Belly exposed
  • eyes averted
  • Tail Tucked between the back legs
  • dog laying on its back

 

Some things to keep in mind is that this is the most submissive of postures. Usually happens when a submissive dog meets a dominant dog. Dog will stay in this position until dominant dog moves away.

  • Fur raised on their back
  • Tail Tucked between the back legs
  • Ears flattened backwards
  • Dilated pupils
  • Mouth showing teeth snarl looking muzzle

 

Some things to keep in mind is that this can be very dangerous and normally gets worse over time if left without counter conditioning. Also known as a fear bitter. A lot of people make the mistake of thinking the dog is just shy but won’t bit.
